What would I do if I found $50?

If I found $50 in a situation where I saw someone drop it then the right thing to do is give it back but if it's a different scenario where I just saw $50 on the ground then I'd keep it because what if in the situation I needed it for food or maybe I'm saving up or if i didn’t pick the $50 up maybe someone else would there’s so many scenarios that could occur at that moment.
The consequences
If I saw someone drop $50 then i’d give it back and then there would be no consequences but if I found $50 on the floor then I'd keep it’ and there might be a chance of me getting consequences. I might drop the $50 and it goes flying away (karma) could be the first consequence. But if the $50 didn’t fly away then it probably would get stolen out of my pocket is the second consequence.
Does the way I find it change what I would do? How? Why?
If i walking down the road to go to the shop and i found a bag and i didn’t know what was in it and there were people watching me than i wouldn’t search it but if there was know one watching me than i would probably search it and if it had money 10’000$ in it than i’d and run back to my house the reason why is because i need it to invest into buying shares than maybe i’d become rich that's what i would d
